On a Sunday evening in March, the then Steering Committee of City Center NOVA met with more than 200 people at the Jewish Community Center of NOVA. The turnout was more than anyone had expected, showing the great need for such a project.

Paula and Joe Manion kicked things off sharing their story and why they were they were inspired to start exploring the viability of affordable, inclusive housing in NOVA. They then introduced Main Street Rockville founders Jillian and Scott Copland who discussed their housing project in Maryland that recently broke ground.

The event wrapped up with the vision of what could be possible for a NOVA-based project and the request for help with the project as well as interest in future events and membership.

City Center NOVA’s first public event was a success!
